COVID-19 Safety Above All Else
SAFETY Staff Training
For our event House of Sinclair Staff to work for these roles, we require them to complete a Covid-19 training module, outsourced with a third party College, which regularly updates all information, making sure our staff is always aware of the latest discoveries on the virus. We track mandatory staff training certifications in a centralized event staff database to ensure no staff is scheduled for a shift without receiving health and safety protocol training.
Personal Protective Equipment
We are supporting our events partners and get our face shields from CSTM HAUS. “When the COVID-19 pandemic struck the world, and in particular, our hometown of New York City, we realized we were in a unique position to help. As a B2B retail tech platform for customizable and made-to-order fashion & lifestyle brands, we had recently opened a showroom that doubles as a beautiful multi-use event space. Working with the NYCEDC, we took our manufacturing know-how and converted the CSTM HAUS event space into a facility for the production of medical face shields.”
Onsite Testing and screening
We partner up with Make You Well for their onsite testing for events!
1. PCR Testing- 99.9% accurate. This is the most accurate form of testing and the only form that is covered by insurance. With this, a nasal swab is used to collect a sample and it is then sent to a lab, where a PCR tests is run to detect the RNA of the virus. For events, the patient would most likely be tested the day before, then they receive a print out with their negative results and they bring that to the party.
2. Antigen Testing- 97% accuracy (available for booking after October 15th, 2020) This is where we use a nasal swab and put it into a special machine that detects the virus. Results are ready in about 15 minutes. New antigen testing will also be available in November, at a cheaper price, but we are waiting on the manufacturer to give us a release date.
3. Antibody Blood Testing- 96% accuracy This is where a few drops of blood are placed on a cassette, then after 10 minutes or so, the cassette will read whether or not the person is positive for IGG and IGM antibodies. IGM antibodies are developed by a patient that has a current infection, and IGG is developed to show a past infection. The disadvantage is that a person could have a very recent infection, and they haven’t developed the IGM antibody yet. That is the main risk, but also, there is a chance that person wouldn’t be contagious because they haven’t had enough time for the virus to replicate in their system to become transferable.
We partnered with Conversa Health to customize an online, chat-based screening that employees could use before heading to work. The screening tool presents employees with a series of questions based on CDC guidelines and UCSF Occupational Health Return-to-Work guidelines. Employees with no identified risk are cleared to enter UCSF using a designated line, and showing a date-stamped pass, similar to TSA Pre-Check. Employees with symptoms or other risk factors (e.g., recent travel to a hot spot area) receive instructions for further assessment and/or treatment.
Food Handlers Certified
We require all Staff to pass a Food Handlers test and we partner up with Premier Food Safety. For our bartenders they all have passed their Alcohol Training class.
